Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

By downloading or using the Canopy paragliding app, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined below. Please read them carefully before starting your flight logs.

1. Usage License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Canopy on compatible iOS devices. The application is intended solely for personal record-keeping, tracking glider hours, and reviewing paragliding flight paths.

2. Safety & Liability Disclaimer

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE:

Paragliding, hang-gliding, and speed flying are high-risk aviation activities. Canopy is designed solely as a post-flight digital logbook and reflection journal. It should never be used as your sole navigation tool, primary flight instrument, or airspace alert system during flight operations. Always rely on certified aviation computers, backup instruments, and proper pre-flight preparation.

You assume full responsibility for your flights. Canopy and its developers are not liable for any injuries, damages, airspace violations, or hardware failures occurring before, during, or after flight operations.

3. Data Ownership & Backup

Since Canopy operates local-first using native SwiftData databases on your physical iPhone, we do not perform cloud backups of your files. If you lose your phone or erase it, your logbook data will be lost unless you have backed it up to iCloud or exported a copy manually. We are not responsible for any data loss.

4. Intellectual Property

All styling systems, vector assets, logos, design parameters, and code scripts related to Canopy are the property of the developer team and are protected under copyright laws. You may not decompile or reverse-engineer the binary assets.

5. Beta Features

If you are using Canopy via Apple TestFlight, you acknowledge that you are using a beta release. Features may change, and files could experience minor database compatibility adjustments as the platform evolves.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue support or terminate access to the app beta packages at any time without prior warning.
